High School Students Put on Dazzling Performance of Guys and Dolls

High School students perform Dont Rock the Boat

Sixty High School students were rockin’ the gym this weekend performing the musical Guys and Dolls to two standing-room only crowds. As always Mr. Flynn directed a stunning performance with just under six weeks of rehearsals. Mr. B and Miss Fetchko transformed the Rhodora into the New York skyline and the streets of Havana. Mrs. Meland lit up the stage with an array of 1940s costumes dressing street walkers, Hot Box dancers, gamblers, the Salvation Army, Havana Dancers, and even a bride.

Student talent included Jonah Burchill and Daniel Hartle in starring male roles, and Lucy Flynn and Elliot Keverline in starring female roles. Louis Bentivegna, Brad Moore, Linus Burchill, and Josh Carr held supporting roles and led the ensemble voices. Felicity Koble and alum Benjamin Stalder accompanied on the piano. Brad Moore, Lucy Keverline and Gabby Keverline created seamless choreography. Aurora Predis (and an army of sewers and ironers) helped Mrs. Meland with the costumes. Aarona Casas-Arenedos acted as stage manager. Audiences agreed it was one of the best shows they’ve seen. Bravo to all!
