Admissions FAQ's

Yes. Aquinas students are eligible to ride public school buses from their respective school districts that are within a ten mile radius of the school.

Currently, students are being bused from the following school districts:

• Allegheny Valley School District
• Avonworth School District
• Deer Lakes School District
• Fox Chapel School District
• Hampton School District
• Knoch School District
• Mars Area School District
• North Allegheny School District
• North Hills School District
• Pine-Richland School District
• Pittsburgh Public Schools
• Quaker Valley School District
• Seneca Valley School District
• Shaler Area school District

School begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 3:12 p.m.

Aquinas Academy provides the After Day program to support families and parents who have a need for supervision beyond the hours of the regular school day.

The After Day program is for K-8th students and runs from school dismissal to 5:45 p.m. on all regular school days (not on half-days or days-off).

Any parent wishing to utilize the After-Day Program must register via the Smartcare website. During sign up, you will be prompted to enter all pertinent information regarding your child and billing preferences.

Tuition may be paid in one of the following ways:

1. One installment due August 15, 2024.
2. Semi-Annual payments due August 15 and January 15.
3. Quarterly payments due August 15, November 15, February 15, and May 15.
4. 10 Monthly payments on the 5th or 20th of each month.

Additional payment plan details will be provided upon enrollment in the academy.

Enrollment Fee

All new students pay a non-refundable enrollment fee.  Returning students pay an annual re-enrollment fee. This fee is used to cover the cost of registration, books, and supplies for each student.

• New students + all incoming Kindergarten student - $500
• Returning students (K-12) - $300, if received by February 26, 2024
• Returning students (K-12) - $350, if received after February 26, 2024

Activities Fee

One-time, non-refundable activities fee to cover the cost of educational field trips, in-school celebrations, and team activities. For the 2024-2025 school year, the fee is:

• $75 for the lower school
• $100 for the middle school
• $150 for the high school (which includes the annual High School retreat).

Cafeteria Fee

A $50 annual cafeteria fee will be charged to each family to cover the cost of supervision and safety measures in the lunchroom and at recess. This fee will be included in your oldest child’s tuition and fee schedule.

Other Fees

Additional fees may be incurred for activities such as Athletics and the After Day Program
