School Profile

Aquinas Academy is an independent, private school in the Catholic tradition for boys and girls in kindergarten through grade twelve. The Academy was founded in 1996 for the purpose of offering a rigorous classical curriculum covering all the major areas of the liberal arts in an intensive college preparatory program.

Aquinas Academy is accredited by Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools and holds membership in the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools and the Pittsburgh Consortium of Independent Schools. Aquinas has a Middle States objective of forming students who are servantleaders and facilitates this goal through the Service Prefect, Faculty Advisory, and Virtue of the Month programs.

Aquinas Academy High School was twice ranked the #1 Catholic High School in Pennsylvania in 2015 and again in 2016 and the #1 Catholic High School in Pittsburgh eight years in a row 2015 – 2022. The campus is located in a residential suburb of Pittsburgh and is situated on 13 acres. In addition to a 22,000 square foot high school with 11 classrooms, 3 science labs, and a robotics room, the campus includes a new lower/middle school building, gymnasium, chapel with a renovated arts wing, and soccer field.
